Job Ref. :uker15296 UK Field Service Engineer   Job Location: In Sheffield / Leeds Area or M62 corridor between   Qualifications: Exp in commission, calibrate, repair and fault finding   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: Good Salary and Package Job Details Reporting to: Service manager based at manufacturing office in St. Ives, Cambs Job Purpose: To make customer visits as scheduled by office to customers in area defined as North of England (typically M62 corridor and north into Scotland and south into Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire). Customer visits are to; commission, calibrate, repair and fault find (to board level only) Continuous particulate emission monitors as manufactured by company. Scope of work: Travel to customer’s sites and solve problems with equipment, liase with customer on technical issues, calibration issues and faults. Liase with office on visits, follow-up visits, working directly with service manager and service support. This is an important role as you are the “Face” of the company to customers with problems. Opportunities exist to promote service contracts, extended warranties and calibration services. You will be a self-starter and used to unsupervised fieldwork on a regular basis year-round. You will be required to climb industrial stacks; therefore you should be physically fit and not have a phobia of heights. You should be aware of general health and safety procedures for industrial sites and act safely and appropriately at all times. Experience and qualifications: Ideally the candidate will have an instrument background with field service experience. An electronic or Electro-mechanical training with knowledge of PC interaction with instrumentation qualified to OND, HND standards or equivalent. Knowledge of Dust monitors and Iso-kinetic stack sampling will be an advantage. Full product training will be given as will a home phone line, laptop, mobile and company car.
