| THE ROLE:
As a result of reorganization in 2006 and new projects won, the Power sector business unit, based in Bristol, has immediate vacancies. The project work is primarily based in Thermal Power and we have projects running in many locations including Nigeria, Brazil and Indonesia. Working with Power Plant owners / operators (both Govt & private developers) you will be responsible for the development of design of Mechanical works, working on behalf of the client your role primarily comprising:
·Feasibility studies
·Production of concept design
·Design specification
·Managing production of design by external consultants
·Design review & reviewing drawings
·Management of contractors
In addition you will be able to undertake design, supervision and management of a wide range of structural projects in the power sector. Manage small to medium sized civil / structural and multi-disciplinary projects in the Power & Industrial section. The position offers both design and project management duties & will provide an excellent opportunity for a design engineer to expand his/her skills set & provide a career path into Project Management if desired.
Working on a wide range of capital works & new build project ranging in value upwards of £100k this role will suit an engineer looking to take the next step in their career, offering responsibility to run your own jobs whilst working with the support & backup of a dedicated team of engineers. If you are nearing chartered status or this is a goal you are looking to work towards our client is keen to help. |
