Job Ref. :uker693 Senior Metallurgist / Engineer   Job Location: Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire   Qualifications: Degree   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: Neg+Car+Pension+Healthcare Job Details Senior Metallurgist - Stainless Steels and Corrosion Resistant Alloys Our client, a leading international Consultancy and Research House seek an experienced metallurgist for a Consultant or Senior level Metallurgist position. The role has responsibility for managing research, development & consultancy projects within the stainless steel, duplex steel and corrosion resistant alloy areas. Clients span all industries including Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Automotive and Chemical Processing. Key areas include: failure investigation, corrosion resistance, surface modification, metallurgical development, in service performance analysis. Projects range up to £300k and run concurrently. Effective planning, management and communication skills are required. The Role: - Project Design (testing methods, analytical techniques etc) & Management. - Analysis of project results and presentation to clients. - Close working with clients and other departments within the company. - Travel to client sites. The Candidate: - Chartered Engineer CEng. - 15+ years in stainless steel, duplex steel or CRA metallurgical development. - Previous experience in project leadership. - Degree in Metallurgy or related subject.
