As part their sustained growth they are looking to appoint a Field Application Engineer (FAE(/ Technical Sales Engineer to support the development of revenue generating opportunities with new customers, strategic partners and in new markets. The successful candidate will be home based, preferably in the UK, Germany or Holland, although other European locations will be considered. He/she will speak and write fluent English, and will preferably also be able to communicate fluently in a second European language (Dutch, French German etc). The ideal candidate will come from a Pre-Sales background with current hands on experience in the following technical areas. · Embedded Systems (C/C++, RTOS) · Server Side Application Development (Java/J2EE) · Networking (Server Clustering, Load-Balancing, Switch/Router Configuration, OS Troubleshooting, Load Testing). Perfect would be a system level understanding of Conditional Access (CAS) & DRM, Subscriber Management Systems, and Network Management (HP Openview). Commercial experience gained working in the Digital TV / IPTV Sector is almost an essential requirement. Frequent short term European travel is inevitable in this role, but is rewarded with an excellent remuneration package.
